COMMISSIONING PROCESS

Delupo is always interested to engage in private commissions, whether you are commissioning a piece of furniture for a house or yacht, an interior design scheme, or a bespoke accessory, we aim to make the process as rewarding as possible.

1. BRIEF

The first stage in this process is discussing exactly what you are looking for. Giving particular consideration to function, context, material, aesthetic and budget.

2. CONCEPT

Based on the information gleaned at the briefing stage we will devise a concept proposal. Depending on the nature of the project this may require a design charge.
Concept proposals often include sketches and computer generated visuals. In some cases custom made models are presented. Once the design concept is approved for production by the client or client’s agent, a deposit of 50% of the project value is required to commence construction.

3. PRODUCTION

Upon the completion of the concept stage we will appoint a craftsman with skills best suited to your project and start working with them to ensure a smooth transition from the design studio to the workshop. We supervise the production of all furniture to ensure that our exacting standards are observed, from the careful selection of materials to the handcrafting of each individual piece. The process normally takes between ten to sixteen weeks from concept approval.

4. DELIVERY

Quality craftsmanship and diligent project management are supported by high installation standards. After receiving the final balance, we will arrange for your furniture to be delivered. Depending on the nature of the piece we also offer an installation service.
